Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the 1AM wallet (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Description of Service
1AM is a self-custodial cryptocurrency wallet for the Midnight Network. It allows you to manage NIGHT and DUST tokens, perform shielded and unshielded transactions, connect to decentralized applications, and generate zero-knowledge proofs.
Self-Custody
1AM is a non-custodial wallet. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your seed phrase and private keys. 1AM does not store, have access to, or have the ability to recover your private keys or seed phrase. Loss of your recovery phrase means permanent loss of access to your funds.
No Financial Advice
1AM does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Any token balances, values, or percentages displayed are for informational purposes only. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.
Beta Software
The current version of 1AM is beta software provided "as is" without warranty. Features may change, contain bugs, or be discontinued. The software is under active development, and we make no guarantees of uptime, accuracy, or completeness.
Network Risks
Transactions on the Midnight Network are irreversible. You acknowledge the inherent risks of blockchain technology including but not limited to: network congestion, transaction failures, smart contract vulnerabilities, and potential loss of funds.
Proof Generation
1AM may connect to proof servers (Proof Station or custom servers) to generate zero-knowledge proofs for transactions. While proof data does not contain private keys, you acknowledge that proof generation involves communication with external services.
Third-Party DApps
1AM allows connection to third-party decentralized applications. We are not responsible for the functionality, security, or content of third-party DApps. You connect and interact with DApps at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 1AM and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or funds arising from your use of the Service.
Prohibited Use
You agree not to use 1AM for any unlawful purpose, to violate any applicable laws or regulations, to infringe on the rights of others, or to attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software.
Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
